Link Visited: CHECK!

I’m trying something new for visited links on this site: checkmarks after visited links. I had to edit Mike’s pseudo-class a bit to make it work for me—I only wanted checkmarks after links inside of storycontent DIVs, not on the whole page!—but I like it for now.

You won’t see this if you use Internet Exploiter, but that’s to be expected.

Can you make the checkmark appear in a different (lighter) color? Right now it sort of looks like it’s part of the link?

It appears to be because it is; best as I know how the :after pseudo-class work, it becomes a part of the link.

I’ve been thinking about changing the visited-link color of late, mainly because I always have to be tweaking something.

I should have said ‘appears to be part of the link text’. I’m a lazy reader and it was cramping my skimming. :)

I’d say that I don’t care, but I do. You’re the people who read this site, so it matters what you think.

I’ve tweaked the link colors in a:visited and .storycontent a:visited:after, and I like that better now.
