Blame Canada, Indeed!
Holy crap on a stick! I’m a bit stunned to read this story: woman loses camera while on vacation. Canadian family finds camera, somehow gets in contact with the park rangers at the place it was lost, and … well, refuse to give the lady her camera back. Even worse, she works out a deal to get the memory cards back from the family and a small renumeration for the camera, and … they end up just sending her CD-Rs of the images on her memory cards!
This is pretty inconceivable in my world … a world where every Canadian I know is an upstanding sort who’d be happy to return such a thing and probably would cover the shipping costs and send a case of Labatt’s with the camera.
I suggest that we invade at dawn! [Okay, I'm kidding.] Hey CanSpice … when did your compatriots start acting like us ugly Americans, eh?

Urban legend?

Looks like Judith got her camera back, after all the consternation that she wouldn’t.
Maybe this is why we let the Canadians beat us in the World Baseball Classic.
