My favorite A-lister done tagged me with the latest A-list/B-list meme. So sad to bring it down to the C-list, but here we go:

1. I was born with a ventricular septal defect—literally, a hole in the wall between my two ventricles—that stunted my growth by a few inches. Not that I’m bitter. The VSD resolved about the time I hit puberty, which is a far cry from a decade prior, when some doctors wanted to do open-heart surgery on me. I’ve spent more than my fair share of time with a Doppler microphone digging into my chest.
2. I was captain of a team competing at the Department of Energy National Science Bowl my senior year, after participating on the team from MSMS the previous year. [Okay, so Rick knows this one, because he was on our NSB team his senior year.] Oddly enough, my specialty on our team was earth sciences [meteorology, geology, plate tectonics, etc.], something I have never otherwise studied.
3. I have never ridden a bicycle that didn’t have training wheels on it.
4. My first job was sacking groceries for minimum wage for a Mississippi-area grocery store chain, Jitney Jungle. I used to know where the Jitneys’ house was in Jackson.
5. My pinkies are crooked; if I hold both hands with my palms facing towards me and press my hands together, my pinkies diverge at the last knuckle. The crookedness used to be symmetrical, but my left pinky finger is now straighter due to being broken seven times.

And yes, well … the delicious nature of these is that you get to pass the torture on to friends. Jessica, Ashley, Misty, Amy, and Katharine, go at it. [See? I left it so that each of you can tag your own husbands.]
